Denim Monogram for a Denim or Chambray Shirt

By Susan

Auna Kay at La Vie en Rose spotted these cute monogrammed denim/chambray shirts at J. Crew and got a brilliant idea. She found a couple of brand new denim shirts at Goodwill (they even still had their tags) and created her own version of the J. Crew shirt.

Denim Monogram

For this inspired knockoff, Auna Kay used old jeans as the fabric for her denim monogram.

She’s written an excellent tutorial sharing how she made made and attached her denim monogram, including some suggestions on what you should avoid during the process. You’ll find her tutorial here: Add a Monogram to a Denim Shirt

Pssst: I’m adding this tutorial to both the Clothing and No-Sew category since a denim monogram could be applied using a fabric glue like Fabri-tac or fusible tape like Stitch Witchery.
