Have you ever gone through your closet trying on old clothes and faced that daunting task of deciding what to keep and what to donate or toss? It’s hard, isn’t it?
Recently, I did that and these three pairs of jeans ended up in the toss pile because they were too worn and way too out of style to donate. Before tossing them, an idea struck. Why not use the denim fabric for another purpose!
I’m so glad I didn’t toss them because so far the denim has been recycled into a party banner, flatware holders and napkin rings.
In its latest reincarnation, fabric from the legs of the jeans was cut up and used to make a cute denim pumpkin for Halloween. You’ll find a detailed tutorial showing exactly how to make your own pumpkin with repurposed denim at Between Naps on the Porch.
