Saving That Favorite Pair of Jeans

By Susan

What would you do if someone handed you these jeans and asked you to repair them? Big job, right? Not for Alida who blogs at Alida Makes.  Though she knew this was going to be a challenging repair, she couldn’t wait to dive in and tackle it!

Besides just repairing them, she decided to go a step further. Alida took an inexpensive shirt she was no longer wearing and created a pretty embellishment to draw the eye away from the repaired area.

You would never notice where the big tear had been and the appliqued floral design is so cute. Not only did Alida repair the jeans, she gave them an original, one-of-a-kind design!

So cute and you really can’t see where the repair work was done! Leo gets holes in the knees of his work jeans. I usually just patch them with more denim but I need to get a little more creative!

That was some repair! You can’t even tell where the damage was and the applique was a perfect embellishment.

Thank you so much for the feature and your kind words! That pair of jeans was my Everest! I figure, if I can do that, I can do anything.
