I know we are entering the fall and winter season in many areas of the world, but I couldn’t resist sharing this wonderful tutorial transforming a pair of men’s jeans into an adorable gardening apron and tool caddy. Start working on it now and you’ll be all set for spring!
Please note: This tutorial does require a little bit of sewing.
Kendra used basic supplies, including a pair of jeans, burlap, fabric scraps, thread, velcro and nylon strapping for this denim project. I love her choice of fabrics for the ruffle and other accents ties. Love all that great storage, too! Practical and beautiful…the best combination!

For a spring project these would make cute Mother’s Day gifts. A couple of our thrift stores here have half off days and that would be a great time to stock up on jeans. For the crafter on your holiday gift list you could buy a couple pair (wash them of course) and give them as gifts along with the other materials and a copy of this tutorial.
Sandra, you’re so right…this would be a great Mother’s Day gift!
