Denim Flower Made from Recycled Jeans

By Susan

Flowers are a popular craft project, probably because they look so great as a decorative accent on just about anything. You see them worn on headbands, shirts and used as a decoration on many crafted pieces.

Kara at the blog,  Creations by Kara has written a tutorial for making this adorable denim flower. Would this be cute worn as a corsage or as an accent for a hat or scarf? The ways a denim flower can be used or worn are truly endless.

Kara explains in her tutorial the easy way she found to give her flower a fluffy, layered look, as well as how to fray the edges if you’re going for a more shabby/scrappy design . She has also included photos showing the many options you can use for the center of your denim flower.

I’m including this in the No-Sew category since the tiny amount of sewing required is done by hand and Kara shows just how to do that in her tutorial here: Make a Denim Flower with Recycled Jeans
