Here at Denim Do Over, I’ve featured several denim placemat designs created using recycled jeans. Today I have another fabulous one to share that I know you’re going to love! This denim placemat design is from the blog, Today’s Nest and it makes use of both recycled adult and children’s jeans. The adult jeans are needed for the actual placemats since you need a fairly large piece of denim fabric for the placemat itself.
The back pockets from children’s jeans are perfect for holding a napkin and flatware. Of course, the pockets from adult jeans may work well for this too; it will just depend on the size of the pocket since you wouldn’t want it to overwhelm the placemat.
If you don’t have enough jeans to make all the placemats you’ll need, check your local thrift stores where they can normally be found inexpensively, often for just a couple of dollars.
Wouldn’t these placemats be perfect for a 4th of July cookout on the deck or porch? Love these!
