When Joanne’s (from Craft Passion) little girl out grew a denim dress, she was reluctant to get rid of it because it had always been one of her favorites. Haven’t we all been there, held onto a favorite piece of clothing long after it no longer fit or was even out of style, just because we loved it so much. Sometimes those pieces carry a lot of wonderful memories and getting rid of them feels a bit like saying goodbye to the memories, too.
Instead of donating the dress, Joanne came up with a brilliant idea. She took that single dress and turned it into an adorable 4-piece outfit for her daughter! I think the new outfit is even cuter than the original dress.
That one denim dress became a vest with a darling ruffled edge.
The sleeve from the old dress was repurposed into a denim rosette flower corsage.
The rest of the denim fabric was recycled to make a matching ruffled skirt and belt! Such a cute, cute outfit!
Joanne created an individual post for each of the four denim pieces she made from the recycled dress. Each post has a detailed tutorial showing how she made that particular piece of this cute outfit.
