Make a Scrappy Denim Apron From Jeans

By Susan

Have you done any sewing with a serger? I haven’t but I do like how they work for seaming fabric together. Today’s recycled denim project from the blog, I’m SEW Cheap, is a patchwork apron created using a serger to give it a fun “scrappy” look.

If you don’t have a serger and would love to make this apron from recycled jeans or scrap denim fabric you have left over from other projects, no problem. You can just stitch it all together as you normally would without the use of a serger.

Going with the scrappy theme, the pockets were added to the apron in an casual, slightly-uneven way. I like the little pocket placed near the bottom of the apron…cute and gives the apron that much more personality!
