I’m not sure which part I like best about this recycled denim project, is the project itself or the wonderful story Sara Kate shares about growing up in the seventies. Her story begins this way, “I was born in LA in the seventies which meant, among other things, there were margaritas, a cedar hot tub, and Eagles and Steely Dan records playing a lot at our house.” Yep, it’s definitely the story. 🙂 That’s just the beginning but it pulled me right in and I loved it! I also love this project!
Do you ever make cocktails, cocktails that need crushed ice? If so, how do you break up the ice? Because denim is super durable and strong, it makes a great smashing bag for breaking up ice for margaritas or any cocktail requiring chipped up or crushed ice.
Sara Kate is sharing how she made her denim ice-smashing bag. I noticed her tutorial requires the teensy bit of sewing, Â so teensy, I’m pretty sure it could be done with a glue gun or a strong fabric glue if sewing isn’t your thing. So I’m adding this tutorial to both the Craft and No-Sew categories here at Denim Do Over.
