Do you like to sew? I’m a sporadic crafter/seamstress, crafting and sewing when I get an idea for something I really need or want to make.
Sewing produces lots of bits and pieces of thread as we start and stop a line of stitching. What do you do with all that thread? Toss it on the floor? I’ve been known to do that, too.
Lynn who blogs at Alamosa Quilter has a much idea, a fabulous idea! Make a little denim bag called a thread catcher to hold all those messy strings! Love this idea!
This would also be a cute bag for storing extra sewing and crafting bits and pieces we always seem to have laying around.
I was super tempted to put this in the “no-sew” category here at Denim Do Over because it requires so little sewing…very easy to make!
With Lynn’s easy recycled jean tutorial, you can keep your workspace neat and tidy! You’ll find directions for making a denim thread catcher from repurposed jeans here: Make A Denim Thread Catcher From Old Jeans
