So your favorite pair of jeans got ripped, time to toss them or recycled them right? Maybe not!
Here’s a cute idea for repairing or turning that hole from lemons into lemonade: play it up and make that hole into something fun with just a touch of lace. This is a great idea for repairing holes in jeans that are really too large to camouflage or easily hide.
Sophie who blogs at The Forge came up with this fun idea and I think it’s pretty ingenious. If you can’t hide a flaw in those jeans, seize the opportunity to turn it into something pretty! If lace isn’t your favorite look, choose another fabric instead.
Sophie has lots of great directions and pictures showing how to do this at her blog and you’ll find those here: Repair Or Pretty-up A Hole In Jeans With Pretty Lace
Two days ago when I put on my comfy jeans I discovered that they had a nice size rip around one of the back pockets. Into the trash they went! Lesson learned; explore Denim Do Over before you give up on your comfy jeans.
Thanks, Sandra! Sorry about your jeans…can’t tell you how many tiimes I’ve had that happen to a fave pair of jeans or cords.
