When I saw this adorable denim pocket banner I couldn’t wait to share with you here at Denim Do Over! Emma took jeans that were not in good enough shape to donate due to worn out knees and salvaged the pockets to create an adorable banner.
Since the pockets on most of the jeans were a bit on the plain side, she added all kinds of cute embellishments to jazz them up a bit. I love the ric rac flower she made for the “O” pocket.
Emma has written a tutorial with lots of great pics showing how to make your own version of this cute denim banner. You’ll find her tutorial here: Make a Denim Banner from Pockets from Recycled Jeans
Pssst: I’m including this is in the No-Sew category as well as the “Craft” category because the decorative embellishments as well as the felt backing could be glued on with Fabri-Tac or a similar strong fabric glue.
This is the second denim banner I’ve featured here at DDO. You’ll find the other one here:Make a Party Banner with Repurposed Jeans
What a great idea for a teen girl’s room. And there are 3 granddaughters on my list!
Oh, that would be perfect! 🙂
This would be cute for a baby shower also.
