Denim is such a durable, hard working fabric. Projects like the one I’m sharing today really drive that fact home for me.
There are very few clothes items you can buy that once they no longer fit or are out of style, you can repurpose the fabric. Not only can you reuse your old jeans, denim shirts and skirts, you can even use them to upholster a piece of furniture!
Michele who blogs at Michele Made Me took a pair of old jeans she no longer needed, created a custom design featuring an adorable birdie and fern for the repurposed fabric, then used the denim to upholster a chair. Brilliant!
Michele is sharing a tutorial on her blog showing how she recycled her old jeans to upholster a chair. If you have fallen in love her original Fern and Bird design as I have, you’ll find the PDF for the design available in her shop for just $2! Michele has lots of other cute projects/designs in her shop as well.
