How do you store your crafting and sewing supplies, or the tools you use most often? If you have an office, craft room or sewing room, it’s always nice to have small containers around for storing away paint brushes, knitting needles, scissors and all those other goodies we can’t do without.
Jane, the blogger behind the blog, Jane LaFazio, is an artist and art teacher. She enjoys working in all kinds of media, including watercolor, quilting and collage. When she needed a bit more storage for her supplies, she created a wonderful box for her studio using denim scraps from old jeans.
I love how Jane included a pocket on the side. It really gives this cute box even more personality, not to mention a bit more storage. The uses for a piece like this are endless!
If you would like to make your own denim storage container, Jane has written a tutorial filled with lots of pictures, detailing all the steps. You’ll find Jane’s tutorial posted on her blog here: Make a Denim Storage Box from Scrape Denim Fabric
Having your tools and supplies in one spot makes the project so much easier. I think messy work areas block creativity.
That is so true, Sandra!
