Aprons are one of the most popular ways to repurpose old jeans. Carissa who blogs at Creative Green Living says, “Of all the things you can do with an old pair of jeans, recycling them into a cute apron is perhaps the most perfect application. By design, the denim is rugged and durable – perfect for protecting your clothes while out in the garden or BBQing.”
So well said! Denim is rugged and stands up to repeated washings so it truly is the perfect fabric for a cooking, gardening or crafting apron.
Carissa gave her denim apron a lot of style and sass. I love the ruffled edge and the placement of the pocket from the jeans!
Carissa recycled a few more pairs of jeans to create these adorable aprons in child size.
Carissa has written an excellent tutorial sharing how she made her aprons. You’ll find her tutorial at her blog here: Make a Denim Apron from Recycled Jeans. In that tutorial you’ll also find a link to her other tutorial detailing how to make the children’s aprons, too.
Thanks for featuring my aprons!
Thanks Carissa! It’s so cute…thanks for a great tutorial sharing how you made it!
