I love the way Lindsay who blogs at Diary of a Crafty Lady, described why she decided to turn a pair of her old jeans into a fabulous denim purse. Lindsay said, “I have been holding on to a few pairs of pants that are in good shape, but no longer fit my shape:)” Haven’t we all been there! Somehow jeans have a way of mysteriously shrinking while hanging in the closet or while folded away.
Instead of just tossing or donating her old jeans, Lindsay upcycled them to make an awesome denim purse. Is this not the cutest?! I especially love the shoulder strap and how it’s double-sided with a floral fabric, then simply tied for a fun casual look–so much better than a plain jean denim strap.
Notice the cute flowers on the front. Lindsay created those, too and she included the instructions detailing how she made them in her purse tutorial.
Lindsay finished her bag off by lining it with another really cute fabric. I love blue and green together, such a great look for a summer bag!
