I’m always looking for storage solutions and ways to get organized. I especially love it when storage isn’t just functional but is attractive, as well! Yes, I’m high maintenance–I admit it!
Amanda, the creative blogger behind Crafts by Amanda, came up with the cutest way to round-up all those pencils, paint brushes, scissors and other crafty things we all use. This project uses all recycled materials including, you guessed it, DENIM! 🙂
This clever storage container is an easy craft project for children, as well as adults. If making this with children, you may want to skip the hot glue gun and use a good fabric glue, instead. I’ve had good luck with Fabri-Tac in the past. If you know of another great one, please leave it in a comment on this post. I’d love to know what you use when a glue gun isn’t the best choice for a project.
You’ll find Amanda’s full tutorial, complete with lot of great photos at her blog here: Make a Pencil Holder or Craft Storage Container From Recycled Denim
I should really get busy and make a couple of these for my friends at work.
