Denim Floor Mat Made from Jeans

By Susan

When recycling old jeans to make new things, we often toss the waistbands and the seams into the trash thinking that the only part of the jeans we can repurpose is the fabric. Surprisingly, there are a good many uses for those waistbands and seams, so hold on to them!

One great way to recycle the waistbands and seams is to use them to make a soft, floor mat. Knowing how soft our old jeans can be, can you just imagine how comfy this must feel underfoot?
