Denim Ampersand Pillow Made From Recycled Jeans

By Susan

A while back I was shopping in a local department store and came across some huge block-style letters and symbols. One that caught my eye and I just loved was a huge ampersand. I’ve always loved that symbol and was so tempted to buy it for my bookshelves here in my office.

Per Wikipedia, an ampersand is a logogram “&” and it represents the conjunction word “and”. The ampersand symbol is a ligature of the letters et, which is Latin for “and.” I think Marji from the blog, Ashbee Design may like the ampersand symbol as much as I do because she used it in a fabulous denim pillow design she created using recycled jeans.

Marji has written a wonderful tutorial sharing exactly how to make this ampersand denim pillow from recycled denim.  All of Marji’s tutorials are excellent with large, clear photos and detailed instructions. I really like how she created her template for this clever design!
