Don’t throw out those old jeans or worn out denim clothes, keep them and turn them into something wonderful!
The idea for Denim Do Over all started when I was cleaning out my closet and discovered I had three pairs of jeans that were out of style and no longer fit. They weren’t really suitable for donating so instead of just tossing them in the trash, I decided to play around with them and see what they could become.
The jeans ended up as flatware holders for a 4th of July dinner, a party banner for patriotic holidays, napkin rings for a casual dinner and finally a denim pumpkin for Halloween. Amazingly, I still had fabric left over for future projects!
During the time I was creating and posting these denim projects on my blog, Between Naps on the Porch, a reader shared pictures of a chair she had completely upholstered in her three son’s and husband’s old jeans. I quickly discovered I wasn’t alone in my love for repurposing denim into new and exciting projects. The idea for Denim Do Over was born!
I hope you find Denim Do Over an inspiring and uplifting adventure! I can’t wait to hear what you’ve been creating with your old denim!
